What Canva share links look like

A Canva link is a design ID plus a share token: canva.com/design/DAFxxxxxxxx/AbCdEfGhIj/view, often trailed by ?utm_content= and &utm_campaign= that Canva adds itself. It is long, unmemorable, and gives away nothing about engagement. Shortening it produces a link you can read aloud, drop into a proposal, or print — while forwarding to the exact design, in view or edit mode, that the original pointed to.

Sharing modes and permissions still apply

The /view, /edit, or /watch suffix in a Canva URL sets what the recipient can do, and Canva's own share settings (anyone with the link, specific people, template use) still govern access. A short link changes none of that — it only forwards. So set the design's sharing to the mode you want in Canva first, copy that link, and shorten it. The short link then respects whatever permission the underlying design carries.
